Professional Consultation, Supervision, & Training

Overview

As a licensed psychologist with extensive experience in clinical practice, I offer supervision to psychologists in training or those awaiting licensure. My services are geared towards enhancing clinical skills and fostering a deeper understanding of psychological practices.

Current Training Offer: Evidence-Based Assessment Training

I am currently involved in a national project that provides training and consulting to mental health professionals across the United States. This initiative focuses on the standardized assessment of trauma in children, aiming to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of mental health services provided to this vulnerable population.

Training Description

Participants in the Evidence-Based Assessment Training will be comprehensively trained in using standardized tools essential for assessing trauma in children. The training includes detailed modules on the following instruments:

  • Trauma Symptom Checklist for Children (TSCC)
  • Trauma Symptom Checklist for Young Children (TSCYC)
  • Child Sexual Behavior Inventory (CSBI)
  • Child and Adolescent Trauma Screen (CATS; event portion)

This training is designed not only to impart knowledge but also to build practical skills. Following the completion of the training modules, there is a mandatory consultation phase where participants will assess actual clients. This hands-on experience is crucial, as it ensures that theoretical knowledge is effectively translated into practical skills.

Requirements for Participation

To be eligible for this training, participants must meet the following criteria:

  • Licensure: Must be licensed or possess a graduate degree in a mental health discipline that allows for licensure in your state.
  • Evidence-Based Treatment Training: Must have prior training in an evidence-based treatment model.
  • Current Practice: Must be actively providing mental health treatment to children.

Enrollment and Contact

The training offered is free of charge, making it an invaluable opportunity for professionals seeking to enhance their expertise in child trauma assessment.
